1. What is special about Acten compared to other joint preparations?

Acten is the only product that provides for the regeneration of joint cartilage in a natural way. This is made possible by the complete and unique composition of high-purity collagen hydrolysate, biologically certified brown algae extract, vitamin C and zinc. Acten also differs in its application form. The surface structure of Acten’s specially developed GEL matrix enables protection of the ingredients and significantly better absorption via the intestines. The result is greater assimilation compared to other products. This means that the conversion of exogenous substances into endogenous substances is better, which in turn significantly increases the effect of Acten.

Acten Hydroidan Pro Formula is not positioned as a medication and not as a dietary supplement. Rather, it is a kind of hybrid of the two worlds, since Acten has a positive influence on joint health on a natural basis and ensures the regeneration and reconstruction of joint cartilage.

2. Acten has different applications areas such as osteoarthritis, back pain, wound healing or cartilage damage. Which complaints can be best alleviated with Acten?

Acten proves to be the most important treatment for osteoarthritis. It acts directly on the body’s synovial membrane and inhibits the swelling process that blocks inflammatory substances. The ingredients in Acten greatly reduce inflammation and naturally activate the cartilage-building cells that produce the body’s own collagens. The result is a reduction in the swelling of the damaged joint, strong inhibition of inflammation and the regeneration and reconstruction of cartilage. It also contributes to the maintenance of bones and protects the cells from oxidative stress. Acten ensures that the joint regains its natural state.

3. Are there additional uses for Acten that we don’t know about yet?

Acten is also used by dentists to treat gum disease and more severe periodontal disease. Taking Acten can greatly reduce inflammation in the mouth. It also supports the regeneration of the periodontium without side effects. Furthermore, the effect of Acten is being investigated in the areas of vascular, muscle and tendon injuries.

4. Do humans need collagen for areas other than bone and cartilage?

Collagen is the major fibrous component of cartilage, tendons, muscles, bones and ligaments. It has many important functions and is one of the most important components of the extracellular matrix (connective tissue). Collagen gives the tissue elasticity and hardness. It also strengthens and supports the tissue. Science distinguishes between more than 20 different collagen fibres in humans.

5. What role do vitamin C and zinc play in osteoarthritis?

Our body needs vitamin C and zinc to stimulate collagen production. Zinc also helps maintain bones and protects cells from oxidative stress. Vitamin C plays an important role in the formation of collagen, which is a supporting substance that connects the cells of the connective tissue. The connective tissue gives the cartilage, the ligaments, the tendons and the skin their resistance and elasticity. A deficiency of vitamin C has an effect on the degeneration of cartilage tissue as well as on the decalcification of the bones and thus increases the risk of rheumatic complaints.

6. Can Acten rebuild the synovial fluid when according to the diagnosis there is already bone rubbing on bone and there is no more synovial fluid?

Your question is very interesting. The joints are a “closed” space with a lot of life. When a degenerative process starts, harmful elements (catabolic factors) are released which “pollute” the environment. These own elements lead to a stronger degradation process. To solve this problem, there are only a few “good” elements (anabolic factors). All these factors can be found in the synovial fluid. During this degenerative process, the synovial fluid contains many catabolic factors that contribute to the increase of the degenerative process.
With moderate success, treatments such as injections of hyaluronic acid, glycosaminoglycans, NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), etc. seek external solutions. Acten works from the inside through its natural anti-inflammatory elements, brown algae extract and collagen. Acten has a positive effect on the components of the synovial fluid through its repairing effect. Thanks to clinical studies, research projects and investigations, we know that the natural product Acten has significantly better effects and that without any additives.

7. Have you been able to personally convince yourself of the success of Acten?

We are currently working on various projects and research, but interesting and groundbreaking results have not yet been published. Several consumers have been able to solve serious problems thanks to treatment with Acten. In addition to the medical and scientific results, reactions and feedback from customers / test persons / patients also indicate that Acten has a positive effect on pain, mobility and elasticity. We find that Acten particularly improves joint function in older people and also has a very positive effect on recovery in athletes.

8. What is the recommended time of use for what conditions?

The length of time Acten should be taken depends on the patient’s condition, diet and general state of health. In order to make the most accurate diagnosis, one would need to know more details about the patient’s condition. Basically, Acten must be taken over a longer period of time, at least 3 months, so that the necessary amount of nutrients can be absorbed and penetrate. Side effects of patients who consume Acten permanently are not known.

9. Can it happen that successes only become noticeable very late after a longer period of intake?

The first effect is the reduction of pain by inhibiting inflammation and usually occurs within the first few weeks. The build-up of cartilage mass depends strongly on the fracture of the cartilage. The damage to the cartilage is divided into four stages. Depending on the size of the tears or fraying of the cartilage, Acten should be taken accordingly. Regardless of the degree of cartilage damage (cartilage tears, fractures and softening) the joint has, the body needs the nutrients contained in Acten for the regeneration of the cartilage mass. The supply of these nutrients must be continuous over a long period of time.

10. Why should Acten be taken on an empty stomach?

It is optimal, but not absolutely necessary, to take Acten on an empty stomach. It can also be taken with food, for example. The specially developed gel adheres to the gastrointestinal mucosa and allows for a longer assimilation time, making absorption slower. This ensures high nutrient absorption and availability of around 90 per cent.

11. Why can athletes benefit from taking Acten?

There are two reasons. On the one hand, elite athletes, as well as amateurs, have significant wear and tear on their joints. In addition, they often suffer from joint inflammation after intense exercise or training. Acten has a threefold effect after its daily intake. Firstly, it reduces joint inflammation and inhibits interleukins, and secondly, it supplements collagen and additionally improves the athlete’s recovery while maintaining the elasticity of muscles and tendons. It is a product that has had great success with runners, cyclists, tennis players and fans who exercise regularly. The difference is noticeable very soon.

12. What is the source of the collagen in Acten?

Science distinguishes between more than 20 different types of collagen. Collagens are proteins that only occur in humans and animals. Plants do not have collagen fibres. The actual raw material for the production of collagen peptides is native collagen protein. Acten places a high value on the quality of the individual ingredients and makes no compromises in this respect. Quality management makes it possible to trace all the ingredients used back to their origin. The short-chain collagen peptides developed for Acten are obtained exclusively from natural raw materials of animal origin and are created in a special enzymatic process.

13. Can the body produce its own collagen again at some point after prolonged use or would you have to take Acten indefinitely to maintain production?

Collagen is a protein that is normally produced in the body. With age, the synthesis of collagen, Elastins and proteoglycans naturally decreases. The cartilage-binding cells (chondrocytes, fibroblasts) seem to become less active with age. As a result, from around 30 years of age, collagen production decreases at a rate of around 2% per year. At around 35 years of age, we are in the ageing process of the body, where in addition to collagen production, the quality of cartilage also decreases. However, in vitro studies show that the activity of cartilage-forming cells can be increased with the addition of nutrients such as collagens and proteoglycans.
